A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Commercial Manager (Programme) to join our thriving facilities management business based at our Head Office at Westdown Camp in Wiltshire.
As the Assistant Commercial Manager, you will support the Commerical Department via Process, Procedures, Governance as well as direct support to assist with the effective and efficient management of the Commercial aspects of the Additional Works and Services Programme delivery.
Duties:
* Support the Cost, estimating and commercial management elements of complex projects through all stages of the project lifecycle to tight deadlines and to appropriate quality standards.
* Support in Cost management to best advantage the delivery of Additional Works and Services.
* Have proficient IT skills including MS Excel and MS Project.
* Support the production of reliable management information, reports, recommendations and coordinate information gathering by others.
* Ensure appropriate quality standards are adhered to.
* Apply planning and analysis skills.
* Support the Drive of continuous improvement.
The ideal person:
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
* Have a good knowledge of estimating and current methods of measurement including NRM
* Some knowledge of commercial management as demonstrated through education or experience
* Some knowledge of cost management processes in the construction/facilities management environment
* Some knowledge of contract and common law
* Some knowledge of building construction, services and statutory regulations
* Some knowledge of H&S gained through IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent and proven experience including CDM
* Some knowledge of project work and the practicalities of delivery
* Some knowledge of risk management techniques and application to construction works
* Knowledge of the New Engineering Contract (NEC) forms of contract
