Bristol City news and transfers live: Nahki Wells on song, international break and more

Good morning and welcome to Thursday’s live blog with the calm after the storm that didn’t really prove to be much of a storm in the first place.

The Robins either failed or weren’t particularly concerned about having to pick up an additional striker on Tuesday’s transfer deadline day, given what was out there, and Nigel Pearson now knows precisely what his squad will look like for the next four months.

On the subject of strikers, Nahki Wells was in particularly potent form for the Under-23s yesterday netting four goals as they smashed their Hull counterparts 6-2 at Ashton Gate.

Wells is not among the City players away on international duty, with the first-team absentees over the next week a relatively modest three: Tomas Kalas (Czech Republic), Alex Scott (England Under-19s), Sam Pearson (Wales Under-21s).

City players have been given a few days off now to recharge the batteries after a day’s testing at the Bristol Bears indoor facility as the Championship shuts down over the weekend.

But we’ll be bringing you any Robins-related news across the day plus any further reaction to the transfer window, so scroll down for updates
