In short, based on the quality of their chances created, City can count themselves unfortunate not to have more points on the board.
Last season was the polar opposite with City initially outperforming their xG only for it to eventually catch up with them and Dean Holden and then Nigel Pearson’s side to plummet down the table.
Interesting to see if the opposite begins to happen.
