Baking soda paste
This kitchen staple is great for household cleaning as it fizzes away stains and exfoliates dirty surfaces.
Make a baking soda paste using two tablespoons of baking soda and a dash of water to make a thick gloopy, consistency.
Use a damp cloth to apply the paste to a cold, unplugged iron and wipe in circular motions.
To remove mineral deposits in the holes, use a cotton swab to apply the paste to these small openings and wipe clean with another fresh swab.
