A Contracts Engineer is required for my Gloucestershire based client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical products for a range of industries including Oil & Gas, Chemical and Pharmaceutical.
Working in a well established team, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring contract terms are agreed by systematically and efficiently managing contract evaluation, creation, negotiation and approval to ensure purchase order contracts with customers are operable, legal and comply with the company policy.
Experience and Skills of the Contracts Manager:
Previous experience in customer facing roles within a global business.
strong knowledge of contracting, commercial and financial concepts together with solid and project management capability.
Experienced in the preparation of quotations, particularly commercial and financial project execution / delivery aspects.
Experience of managing and negotiating complex contracts.
Effective customer relationship building ad strong negotiation skills
Work with key stakeholders to undertake reviews of existing procedures and identify and drive through improvements through lesson learnt processes.
Fully understand contracts and tenders, the risks incurred and the feasibility of executing successful projects in accordance with the agreed contract.
Good decision making skills. Able to prioritise and lead the completion tasks in an ‘end goal’ orientated manner.
Able to update and, where possible, significantly improve process in own area.
