NRL’s client are looking to recruit a Cost Engineer to join their team in Teesside on a permanent staff basis.
This role will be responsible for reviewing and developing cost estimates for projects/turnarounds and development of the control budget from these estimates.
Main responsibilities include:
Work with the Project Team to establish robust cost forecasts
Monitor and report costs and perform analysis regarding deviations from the control budget
Be a custodian for Management of Change
Calculate monthly value of work done and forecast to complete
Develop strong relationships with company Finance team
Use of company Oracle system (training provided)
Review customer invoices
Review budget proposals for accuracy in cost and schedule
Work with Planning to ensure we have a realistic and accurate schedule
Ensure the cost forecast aligns with the schedule
Facilitate risk assessments, peer reviews, and audits as necessary
Evaluate project risks and communicate cost exposure
Prepare margin analysis using information from company Oracle system
Track change orders
Populate and peer review application for payment
Raising requisitions for plant, materials and sub contracts as required
