JOB TITLE: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

LOCATION: Bristol, Cabot Square

CONTRACTUAL HOURS: Full Time, 8-5.

Job Objective & Responsibilities:

To operate as a static Electrical Engineer utilising your core skills as an Electrical service engineer, reactive fault diagnostics and installations associated to this company’s core activities.

Main Duties:

You will be accountable for the following: –

Completing a weekly time sheet correctly and submitting it to the office weekly.

Completing all necessary paperwork for the customer whilst on site and obtaining a customer’s signature to enable the job attended to be invoiced without any delays.

Completing engineer’s worksheet in full, giving full details of plant that requires additional work.

Completing the Minor Works and Installation Certificates on completion of any electrical installations or alterations.

Phoning in to the office helpdesk at the end of every job to update.

Phoning in to the office helpdesk at the end of the day after your last job as part of the lone working procedure.

To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance on behalf of our customers in line with the relevant site specification.

To support the site / customer by attending to reactive breakdowns of their Electrical services, Power failure, plant failure and rectifying where possible.

To submit detailed written reports following any planned or reactive attendance to customer’s premises to enable any additional works to be quoted for.

To work on call out rota to cover reactive calls within the Core business.

Qualifications essential:

To have served a full trade apprenticeship as an Electrical engineer.

To have City & Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Part 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent

To have 17th Edition (18th Preferably)

To have a full British driving licence

Desirable:

To have IPAF or equivalent Mobile Elevated Platform Training Certificate

To have Working at Heights Certificate

To have Inspection and Testing C&> or NVQ Equivalent

To have City & Guilds 604 Heating and Ventilation

To have City & Guilds 207 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

Person Specification:

To interact with colleagues, other engineers of the same skill set and alternative skills along with the office admin and management staff.

To liaise with the customer or customer’s representative.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

Always follow ABM Group and company policies and procedures;

Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;

Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
