The Finance Analyst is the link between the cost control and payroll teams to the Finance Manager on the contract. The finance analyst is responsible for supporting the operational contract ensuring that all revenues and cost are correctly allocated.
In this role you will assist the Finance Manager in preparing the financial statements of the programme on a monthly basis; Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, assist Commercial leads in preparing the monthly and quarterly reporting packs for review by the Telecoms SLT and work on the preparation and reconciliation of the different budgets/forecasts on the contracts on a monthly basis. You will be the point of contact for any queries from the cost or payroll administration teams and ensure that costs and revenues are allocated to correct budgets on a weekly basis (clearing out default budget codes) whilst ensuring that correct contract controls and governance are in place on the contract and report any exceptions.
You will also identify areas for potential profit improvement, conduct audit on sites in relation to stock, work with the commercial teams to minimise WIP to less than 3months, assist with external and internal audits (when required) and the consolidation of the telecoms reported numbers (where appropriate). As well as ensure that the CVR month end process is followed and the financial system represents the correct information and occasionally you will deputise for the Finance Manager when required.
What do we need from you?
To be successful you will need to be working towards an ACCA/CIMA qualification or relevant experience for at least 5 years. You will have good communication and numeracy skills and be a competent user in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. This role will require an excellent attention to detail and someone who thrives under pressure.
