We are now in the final phase of recruitment in preparation to open the UK’s largest multi Polymer Plastic Recycling Plant at Avonmouth, Bristol. We are looking for General Operatives to complete our newly formed team readiness for the plant to begin commissioning. The successful candidates will be required to work from Monday to Friday initially, but once the plant is operational, the role will move to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to include nights.
Our new world class facility is expected to process 81,000 tonnes of PET, HDPE and PP plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays in its first year of operation, rising to 89,000 tonnes in year three. This will produce 60,000 tonnes of recycled plastic in year one, rising to 63,000 tonnes in year three.
The General Operative role offers real variety and the opportunity to be involved in different areas of the Polymers Plant. Duties will include:
Driving a counter balance forklift truck – it’s essential that you have had a minimum of 1 years experience of this
Receiving, offloading and stacking plastic bales.
Receiving and loading Silo Tankers
Loading bales into plant machinery
Loading finished goods onto vehicles.
Working inside the Material Recycling Facility (MRF)and loading finished goods into bags and booking
Moving and emptying bins from the MRF
Using computer systems to dispatch loads
Carrying out cleaning, basic maintenance tasks and basic fault finding
