Customers went into a frenzy this week as Marks and Spencer announced that it has launched a brand-new ice cream flavour. The Percy Pig ice cream is available to buy now in stores.

Percy Pig is a popular and much-loved character, found only in Marks and Spencer stores and online.

The food retailer has numerous Percy Pig items, including a pink fluffy sponge roll, crunchy biscuits, and of course the original soft Percy Pig sweets.

There is even Percy Pig-inspired homeware available, such as a Percy Pig mug and a Percy Pig bedding set.

The latest food item to be introduced to the Percy Pig range is ice cream, which will be perfect for the warmer summer days ahead.

M&S posted an image of its own Percy Pig sundae on Instagram this week.

To accompany the photo, the retailer wrote: “Hot pig summer is coming!

“Grab some Percy Pig ice cream to cool down this summer. In store now!”

Percy Pig and ice cream fans alike were quick to respond to the post, with many commenting that they cannot wait to try the new treat.

Percy Pig ice cream was first introduced to M&S stores last April, but its flavour was slightly different to this year’s treat.

In April 2020, M&S launched raspberry and grape flavour ice cream with a ripple of fruity sauce and pieces of strawberry marshmallows running through it.

In other M&S news, the retailer has launched two brand-new gin flavours ahead of summer.

The blackberry and elderflower gin, and the passionfruit and vanilla gin, are available to buy now in stores.

Shop the Percy Pig ice cream for £3 at M&S via Ocado.
