More than two million viewers have stopped watching I’m A Celebrity this year, according to ratings from Sunday’s debut episode. It comes as fans called to boycott the show for reportedly paying former Ukip leader Nigel Farage £1.5 million to take part.
And now those who have still tuned in have seen far too much of the politician. Some declared they were left shaken after shots aired showing his lower body. Bristol’s Josie Gibson swore after walking past Nigel’s waterfall shower, where his bum was revealed.
In the Bush Telegraph, she said: “Fair play to him. He’s just getting in there and at least he’s clean.” While Dec joked: “I’m glad he didn’t turn around. He could have met an honorable member!”

Dozens of fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, about the disturbing moment. One said: “I can not believe I have just clicked on TikTok and seen Nigel Farage’s bare ass on I’m a celeb, I need a lobotomy.”
Another said: “We definitely didn’t need to see Nigel Farage’s butt on national TV.”
The 59-year-old also exchanged heated words with Fred Sirieix when he quizzed Nigel on ‘what was the benefit of Brexit for the average person in Britain’. Nigel said: ‘To know that we’re independent, we stand on our own two feet in the world.’
Fred replied: ‘Brexit was about immigration, I remember your poster. I thought it was shameful what you did Nigel. Shameful.’ Nigel answered: ‘Sadly, sadly it was absolutely true. It was a poster showing mass young men moving illegally across borders.’ Fred said: ‘But it was about demonising migrants.’
Dozens of fans have also taken to X to voice their dislike of Nigel. One wrote: “Watching the first episode of I’m a Celeb. ITV messed up by getting Nigel Farage on. Why would you pay that man money knowing his views and political stance?”
Another said: “Can we PLEASE collectively just vote out Nigel Firage on I’m a Celeb, I want to watch the show without being constantly disgusted.”
