A key aspect of our service is to provide skills, knowledge and tools to help organisations run more effectively through learning opportunities and tailored consultancy.
Currently our learning and development service offers:
General learning programmes on a comprehensive range of professional and organisational development topics, blending online and face-to-face formats.
In-house programmes, tailored to the specific requirements of different teams.
Start-up support for community groups and social enterprises.
Bespoke facilitation and specialist consultancy.
Collaborative learning through peer networks and special interest groups.
Conferences focused on funding, strategic influencing and governance.
Briefings and information events about a range of topics and opportunities.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a training and development professional to lead, manage and develop this part of our work.
The Learning & Skills Programme Manager will contribute to development programmes at Voscur and will manage the ongoing development of the VCSE Academy, a new platform for learning and collaborative personal and professional development. Building on Voscur’s successful training programme and utilising external sector-wide intelligence, you will lead the Academy’s development to enhance its current offer through the launch of further learning opportunities, such as coaching and mentoring, action learning and self-directed training.
The successful candidate will ensure that Voscur’s learning and development service:
Identifies and anticipates customers’ needs and develops learning resources to meet these needs.
Operates as a viable and sustainable service by overseeing the planning, pricing, marketing and delivery of learning activities.
Supporting the professional development of Voscur staff as well as external clients.
Develops and maintains a network of learning professionals to inform planning, and a network of external consultants (Voscur Associates) to help deliver learning activities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and experienced learning and development professional with a strong track record in the planning and delivery of such services to the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, partners and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be adept at project development, project management and prioritising workloads, with the ability to lead discussions and share ideas as part of a diverse and creative team.
This is a part-time role (21 hrs per week), based primarily in our office in central Bristol, although currently home-based due to Covid19 restrictions. This role will involve delivery of programmes at external venues and occasional out of hours commitments.
