Lloyd Wood, 44, remains in intensive care in a Majorca hospital after suffering severe stab wounds. Such was the severity of his wounds, a source claimed they didn’t think he would survive the night. Mr Wood, who was on holiday with his fiancée Janine Parr, 41, both from Mirfield, West Yorkshire, were celebrating their recent engagement.
It is thought the pair had been enjoying a meal at the Don Denis restuaraunt in Can Picafort last Wednesday.
According to The Sun, Mr Wood is believed to have argued with a waiter over a steak they had ordered.
One eyewitness claimed there was “lots of blood” on the ground.
An eyewitness said: “There was lots of blood and you could see all the rags they had used to mop it up.”
Family members have flown to Majorca in order to be at his side but have been unable to be allowed to see him due to Covid restrictions.
As of September 1, police in Spain are currently investigating the incident.
Officers, however, have been unable to interview Mr Wood due to his injuries.
A source added Mr Wood has been in a serious but stable condition since last week and remains in intensive care.
Mr Soberats said: “I’ve been told the tourist went berserk because he wasn’t happy with the rib steak his partner had ordered.
“The tourist was hurt the worst and there was a lot of blood.
“Nothing like this has ever happened here before.
“We’re all in a state of shock.”
It is thought Mr Wood suffered injuries to his stomach and leg.
A spokesman for the Civil Guard in Majorca said: “Officers are investigating an incident at a restaurant in Ca’n Picafort in which two men were hurt.
