McDonald’s has rolled out its new home delivery service which sees food being ordered via the free My McDonald’s app. The fast food chain often offers customers discounted food via its app and now it can also be ordered and delivered through it.

The app is free to download via both Google Play and the App Store.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the new service, McDonald’s fans shared their excitement.

One person said: “This is exciting, another way to order is always welcomed.”

Another wrote: “I wonder if the orders will be as quick as they are on Just Eat.”

“This deal is only available for mobile orders and new users. Order on the app and pick-up via Drive-thru, Click & Serve, Takeaway.”

The app can also be used to collect McCafé Reward stamps which offers customers a free hot drink when they buy five.

It also offers a brand new deal every Monday such as discounted food items.

In other news, Nando’s has been forced to close 50 restaurants after experiencing a major chicken shortage.

Nearly 50 of its stores across the UK have had to close due to staff isolation and a supply chain disruption.

A Nando’s spokesperson explained: “The UK food industry has been experiencing disruption across its supply chain in recent weeks due to staff shortages, and a number of our restaurants have been impacted.

“However, we can confirm that from today Nando’s will be lending seventy of our brilliant team members to support our key suppliers – working in partnership to help get things moving again.

“We expect to see this having a positive impact on the affected restaurants very soon. So please bear with us whilst we do everything we can to get our famous PERi-PERi chicken back where it belongs – on your plates!”

Customers can check if their local Nando’s is open on its official website.
