Tatler magazine has handed the title over to Beatrice Borromeo of Monaco, who is married to the glamorous Pierre Casiraghi. Pierre, 34, is son of Caroline, Princess of Hanover and is eighth in line to the throne of Monaco.
The high society magazine named Beatrice as the “most stylish European royal”, giving her four wedding dresses as a key reason behind the title.
They wrote of her: “When Beatrice Borromeo married Pierre Casiraghi of Monaco in 2015, she didn’t simply wear one couture dress.
“Instead, she chose four different gowns, two by Valentino for her civil service in Monaco and two by Armani Privé for the religious service in Lake Maggiore.
“If this isn’t proof of her sartorial savoir-faire, we’re not sure what is.”
They went on to detail her “penchant for Valentino, Armani Privé and Chanel”.
The piece explained she was born into an aristocratic family and prior to marrying into royalty, she worked as a journalist and fashion model, which put her ahead of the game.
As well as giving her wedding dresses as examples of her good taste, Tatler showcased a number of her outfits in a series of pictures.
They showed her in an array of stunning dresses ranging from glamorous to low key at biennales, charity dinners and various fashion weeks.
