We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with Mechanical experience to assume responsibility in the following:
* Completing plumbing installations, testing, and commissioning in adherence with statutory regulations, industry best practice and Health and Safety procedures
* To complete, test and commission electrical installations in adherence with statutory regulations, industry best practice and Health and Safety procedures
* To take accountability for and act as the Gas Safe appointed person if required
* To fault find and ensure satisfactory fault rectification maintaining site services levels at all times
* To take accountability for reactive maintenance within the prison estate in line with the sites long term goals and objectives
* To comply with all Health and Safety policies, procedures and legislation to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance
You must be able to demonstrate the following Qualifications and Experience:
* 2 years’ experience of working in a role as a heating engineer, or a combustion engineer in a multi-skilled role, working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
* C&> 6035 (Plumbing), C&> 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
* CCN1 – Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units
* Electrician qualified to C&> 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
* Must have a certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th Edition.
* Experience of working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems is desirable.
