It was a bumper super-sized National Lottery Lotto draw on Saturday (May 8) with a £7.9m triple rollover jackpot.
Previous jackpots had gone begging with nobody having the right numbers, so there was another chance to win big – but nobody did.
So it will be a quadruple rollover on Wednesday (May 12) with a £9.5m jackpot. And if that isn’t claimed, it will be a Must Be Won draw next Saturday.
Tickets for Wednesday’s draw are available until 7.30pm that day priced £2.
The Lotto wasn’t the only lottery tonight as the Thunderball draw took place with a £500,000 top prize. Tickets for this draw are £1.
The winning numbers from both draws are in the blog below.
People have been playing the National Lottery since it was introduced in 1994, when it was simply one draw a week – on Saturday.
Since then, a Wednesday draw was introduced as well as spin-off games.
- Thunderball has a £500,000 top prize and takes place on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
- Set for Life has a prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years and this draw takes place on Mondays and Thursday
- EuroMillions is a pan-European lottery with a set of balls drawn that can offer prizes up to around £182m
As well as delivering riches to individuals and syndicates, all lotteries raise money for a variety of good causes.
