‘Police incident’ closes M5 – updates

All traffic is being held as police respond to an incident on the M5.

Motorists are not moving on the soundbound carriageway between J21 A370 (Weston-super-mare) to J22 (Burnham-on-sea).

Emergency crews are at the scene and motorists have been urged to avoid the area.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to police incident on M5 Southbound from J21 A370 (Weston-super-mare) to J22 (Burnham-on-sea).

“Affecting traffic from Weston-super-mare towards Burnham-on-sea.”
