An experienced senior project manager is required by our software development and delivery client on a permanent basis. This role is a combination of remote, office (Bristol) and occasional site working.
Our client has developed a cloud native software system to assist organisations in the end-to-end collection of outstanding debt. They have developed a software that is highly configurable to fit most client requirements, utilising their highly experienced in-house team to cover design, research and development, delivery, and support. Dependent on the client, they also offer custom developments to allow a greater fit to the client’s specific needs.
Reporting into the Head of Service Delivery, you will lead the delivery of either 1-2 large custom development projects or multiple smaller configuration projects. This role will engage with large banking, utilities and consultancy clients, leading the client facing activities with senior stakeholders. Gravitas and resilience are essential to effectively negotiate and manage stakeholder expectations and ensure a successful software delivery.
Working closely with clients, you will engage across the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering, design and development, delivery and support. You will operate in a matrix environment utilising resources across development and delivery teams.

agree and communicate key milestones, risks and dependencies
lead project teams day to day, supporting successful delivery
Work hand in hand with the devops team to prioritise and schedule
Essential skills and experience:
Demonstrable full lifecycle project management experience within a software delivery environment – highly desirable to have successfully delivered complex projects into large enterprises.
Demonstrable experience of structured agile eg SCRUM, Kanban.
A technical understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery.
Demonstrable senior stakeholder management experience.
Experience across technical and business teams from CxO to developers.
Excellent communication skills – a direct communicator with strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Highly organised – but not a rigid process driven approach.
Comfortable working in a busy environment with uncertainty.
Hands on, able to hit the ground running.
A formal PPM qualification: PRINCE2, APM, Agile etc.
Understanding of debt management
Financial services and/or utilities operational awareness
An understanding of ISO 27001
This is a senior role within my client’s organisation – you must be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role.
