About the Role
Kier Telecoms are looking to recruit a SHE Advisor, who will report to the SHE Manager to have overall responsibility of promoting SHE across the business unit.
The SHE Advisor will carry this task out in a manner wholly consistent with Kier’s SHE policies and procedures without compromise and any local guidance are fully aligned in order that no conflict or confusion exists to drive to deliver continual SHE improvements across the Business Unit.
In this exciting role you’ll be responsible for driving SHE improvements in line with Kier’s SHE policies and procedures. You’ll carry out and record SHE audits and inspections and assist the team in drawing up risk assessments. You’ll also ensure all accidents, incidents are reported in the quickest possible time. The role will entail the SHE reporting requirements are provided accurately and in a timely manner. You’ll conduct site / project APR visits and work closely with the operational teams to carry out their SHE responsibilities in line with the Kier Safety, Health and Environmental Management System (KSHEMS). You’ll also assist the management team in local SHE training and promote and deliver SHE training programs where necessary.
What we need from you?
A proactive, good communicator with demonstrable experience in this industry. You’ll be IOSH qualified with a minimum NEBOSH Construction certificate and have a solid understanding of SHE legislation. You’ll also previous experience of quality standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 Standards. Working on your own initiative and delivering against key objectives is a key aspect of the role. This role may encourage flexible working across various sites.
