The legendary pop and soul band Simply Red are still going and will not be giving up performing in the near future. The band recently announced a tour taking place in 2022, and this week also revealed they will be joining the Live At Longleat series of gigs taking place in summer 2022.
Tickets go on general sale tomorrow, Friday December 3, at 10am. Simply Red’s official Twitter account revealed the news at the beginning of the week. It wrote: “Simply Red will perform at the new Live At Longleat series of concerts on 24th June 2022. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 3rd December but you can take part in a presale from 10am tomorrow.” (sic) The event takes place in the middle of the band’s UK tour which is occurring at the same time.
Simply Red will follow Lionel Richie’s performance at Live At Longleat.
The legendary singer is playing the week before, on June 15, 2022.
This will be the first time Simply Red have been on tour since the release of their 12th studio album, Blue Eyed Soul.
The 2019 album debuted at number six on the UK Album Charts.
Blue Eyed Soul sold more than 9,000 copies in the first week and became their 14th top 10 album in the UK.
The record comes in behind their previous album, 2015’s Big Love, which hit number four on the Album Charts.
The album was later certified gold, the band’s 11th album to do so in their 40-year career.
