Sous Chef – High End Venue – Up to £30,000 – Salisbury

Our Client, a busy weddings and events venue close to Salisbury are looking for a Full Time, Permanent Sous Chef to join their friendly team. Your job will be to assist the Head Chef with the running of the kitchen operations within the site. This will include managing staff, implementing, and maintaining procedures as well as ensuring all product and service standards are being met.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have a passion for good food and service, calm under pressure and be able to work in a small team. You must also possess experience in weddings and conferences, 100+ covers, fine dining, and events, together with a strong background in food led establishments.
As Sous Chef you will work 5/7 Days – 40hrs min p/w – some evenings when events are on but not too many per week.
Previous high-end events experience required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As an experienced Sous Chef you will be assisting the Head Chef with the full running of the kitchen and Events off-site. Preparing, cooking and presenting food in line with the required standards and ensuring the food is prepped and served in the right manner. The importance of maintaining the quality and good reputation standards along with maintaining the stock levels and compliance with all relevant health and safety guidelines.
What You Need To Be a Successful:
The ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment showing continuous creativity and keen interest in food and cooking. Have strong communication skills and lead by example for all the junior team members to look up to. To have completed the catering qualifications and completed the health & hygiene certificates will give an advantage however the right on the job past experience may also be looked at.
Salary of £28,000-£30,000
