Taco Bell advertising for jobs at Bristol diner despite no official announcement

Bosses at Taco Bell are advertising for a number of jobs for a new diner in Clifton.

The jobs, which have appeared on Indeed, are for roles including shift manager, assistant restaurant general manager and general manager.

Despite not having officially announced the new Bristol branch, the opening of the vastly popular Mexican fast-food chain in the city seems imminent.

The advertised salary for the role of general manager is set at £25,000-£29,000 per year, with the assistant taking home anywhere between £23,000-£25,000.

The closest Taco Bell stores currently to Bristol are in Bridgewater and Cardiff.

However, a tweet sent out weeks ago hinted that the new restaurant could be just around the corner.

The postcode on the job advertisement is located just opposite the current Wagamama’s on Queens Road and next door to Lloyds bank.

The news comes as the fast-food chain opens numerous new stores across the UK, having just announced a new 24 hour drive-through restaurant due to open this September in Penylan, Cardiff.

Back in 2019, Taco Bell’s European boss said they aim to open 200 new stores across Great Britain within the next five years.

The US-based chain now owns more than 425 restaurants outside the United States, and Bristol could be about to be added to the list.

When approached by Bristol Live, a spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, we don’t have anything we can share just now, but we are opening lots of new restaurants so hopefully there will be something new soon.”
