“Each couple has one thing in common – they all want to be the last Baby and Johnny standing.”

But when will The Real Dirty Dancing be released and what kind of challenges will the celebrity contestants face? Here’s everything we know so far.

What is The Real Dirty Dancing?

Inspired by the Australian series of the same name, the series will follow 10 celebrities as they move into a stunning Lakeside location before pairing up to face a series of entertaining challenges.

They will need to get into character and attempt to learn and perform routines based on iconic moments, from the jaw-dropping Mambo dance to “Hungry Eyes”.

The celebs will switch partners over the course of the series until only the top two couples remain.

The finalists will battle it out one last time as they try and perfect everyone’s favourite run and jump gravity defying lift, while the remaining six celebrities become backing dancers for the grand finale.

Who are The Real Dirty Dancing hosts?

Pussycat Doll and former Strictly Come Dancing runner up Ashley Roberts will host the upcoming eight-part series.

The Heart FM showbiz host said: “I LOVE Dirty Dancing, the film literally had a huge impact on my life, and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved in this series.

“I’m going to be on hand to help out the celebs with their Johnny and Baby moves and look forward to being reunited with Keith. Wish me luck! It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

She will be joined by Dirty Dancing superfan and Celebrity Juice presenter Keith Lemon, who “can’t wait” to host the new show.

“Dirty Dancing is such a good film and of course I’ve been Baby myself! Twice now! Once for Let’s Dance for Comic Relief and once when we did it on The Keith & Paddy Picture Show,” Keith said.

“So yeah I was chuffed to be asked to host this show! And to be hosting with me mate Ashley! It’s gonna be so fun! Ya can tell how excited I am, look at how many exclamation marks I’ve used. Can’t wait!”

When will The Real Dirty Dancing air?

There’s no confirmed release date for The Real Dirty Dancing as of yet, but Channel 4 confirmed that the show is set to hit E4 and All 4 in early 2022.
