Thousands of 4K TVs just gained access to Star Wars, Marvel movies, Pixar, and more

The easiest way to check whether your Panasonic telly has been updated with the streaming app is to switch it on and head to the Applications view. However, if your model number starts with either EZ, EX, FZ, FX, GZ, GX, HZ, HX, JZ, or JX and was purchased after 2017, chances are, you’ve got access to the service.

As well as Panasonic telly owners in the UK, viewers in Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Latin America were treated to the latest free upgrade.

Panasonic is the latest in a long list of telly manufacturers to add native support for Disney+, which has gained a dizzying number of subscribers – despite its relatively short time on the market compared with the likes of Netflix and Prime Video. Samsung TVs were the first to add a dedicated app for the service, with the likes of Android TV-based televisions and LG following closely behind.
