The latest TV show starring fictional character Tracy Beaker has been spotted filming in Bristol today (August 24).
Production was set up in Whitchurch for a new five-part series called The Beaker Girls, which will star Dani Harmer as Tracy Beaker alongside Emma Maggie Davies as her daughter Jess.
Location signs at the scene had TBR written on them, while a local resident confirmed that the show was being filmed there.
And the BBC confirmed on August 18 that the show was due to start filming in Bristol at the end of the month.
A Twitter user also said that filming was due to take place in nearby Weston-super-Mare.
The show was commissioned after “My Mum Tracy Beaker”, the last installation in the series, was streamed 2.1m times on BBC iPlayer in its first three days of availability, setting a new record as CBBC’s most successful launch ever.
The Beaker Girls will follow Tracy and her daughter as they run a junk shop called the Dumping Ground in the seaside town of Cooksea.
Some cast members will be returning, including Jordan Duvigneau as Sean Godfrey, Lisa Coleman as Cam, Montana Thompson as Justine and Danielle Henry as Mary.
And there will also be newcomers, such as Chi-Megan Ennis McLean as Jordan and Alibe Parsons as junk shop owner, Flo.
