Famed in the US for its legendary burgers, Wendy’s has announced its plans to roll out restaurants across the pond. It has been announced that this summer, the American fast-food chain will be opening its first UK-based restaurant. To the delight of burger fans, more Wendy’s restaurants are then expected to open in the UK in due course.
What will be on the menu?
The exact menu Wendy’s will offer its UK customers is not yet known.
But many will be hoping some of the chain’s American menu items will make it to their new UK restaurants.
Wendy’s is renowned for its iconic square-shaped burgers and Chocolate Frosty desserts.
“The brand is excited to enter the UK with company-owned and operated restaurants this year, and we are looking for franchisees to grow with us across the United Kingdom.”
Wendy’s restaurants are also expected to open in Stratford and Oxford.
Abigail Pringle, head of international operations, said she envisaged the restaurant growing to a “significant scale” in the UK before expanding to Europe.
The chain will be partnering with food delivery service Uber Eats, to bring Wendy’s food to people at home too.
