CBeebies has announced that Best Actress Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon is set to host an upcoming episode of the popular CBeebies Bedtime Stories TV show.

The Hollywood actress is set to read Extraordinary Stories, written by Penny Harrison.

The book is illustrated by Katie Wilson and tells the story that in whichever way you look in life if you look closely enough you can discover beautiful and wonderful things.

So, your little one can look forward to being read a bedtime story by a Hollywood actor – who doesn’t want that?

CBeebies Bedtime Stories is a show aired on weekdays on the CBeebies channel.

This programme is dedicated to telling bedtime stories that are teachable lessons for young viewers before they head to bed.

The programme has been known to feature several international guests and Reese Witherspoon is set to be the newest star to host this programme.

To give you an insight as to what you can look forward to on Reese reading the CBeebies Bedtime Story, she opens up the story by saying ’’sometimes, when we’re busy, it can be hard to find time to notice the world around us.

“The things we see every day can seem a bit… ordinary. But if you stop, and look closer, you’ll see that our world is extraordinary!’’

Before she sends the little viewers to bed, she encourages them to practice the lesson they have just learnt from the story and explore something the next day that may be seemingly ordinary, but when looking closer, could have something truly magical about it!

When does Reese Witherspoon’s CBeebies Bedtime Stories air?

Reese Witherspoon is due to appear on CBeebies Bedtime Stories on Friday 28th January 2022 at 6.50pm. It will also be available on BBC iPlayer shortly after airing.

CBeebies Bedtime Stories has featured several famous faces, including Ryan Reynolds, Tom Hardy, actor Chris Evans, Regé-Jean Page, Felicity Jones, David Schwimmer, Alesha Dixon, Eddie Redmayne, Orlando Bloom, Sir Elton John and Dolly Parton.
