Celebrity MasterChef has been switched to allow for other TV shows on BBC One but it will return to our screen’s very soon.
Now in its 16th series, the popular programme sees some personalities revel in their passion for food whilst others flatter to deceive when the heat is on, literally.
Hosted by Gregg Wallace and John Torode, with the latter taking a particular interest in events, the duo are once again judging the culinary offerings – good, bad and indifferent – being served in front of them, in the kitchen.
The previous winner of Celebrity MasterChef was the Irish broadcaster and internet personality Riyadh Khalaf.
He was rumoured to have entered into discussions with production companies about furthering his food career since his success on the show.
Matt Dawson, Greg Rutherford, Emma Kennedy and Angellica Bell are amongst other previous winners of the contest.
Why is Celebrity Masterchef not on BBC One and when is it back?
The show has been moved due to scheduling requirements.
Tonight, it makes way for the second part of BBC One’s deep sea thriller Vigil at 9pm, and then tomorrow evening, 9/11 documentary Inside the President’s War Room will be shown in its place at the same time.
Up to now, the series had been aired on Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings at 9pm.
However, due to schedule changes this week, Celebrity MasterChef will now be aired on Wednesday 1st September, Thursday 2nd September and Friday 3rd September 3rd in the same time slot of 9pm.
Who will be competing in the final week of heats on Celebrity Masterchef?
Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe will make his bow on the show this week.
He will be joined by journalist and presenter Gavin Esler, paralympian Kadeena Cox, Kem Cetinay of Love Island fame and veteran actress Michelle Collins.
Who is through to the next round of Celebrity Masterchef so far?
Joe Swash, formerly of EastEnders and partner of Stacey Solomon, is through to the semi-finals as is former professional footballer and Homes Under the Hammer presenter, Dion Dublin.
They will join actress and showbiz star Su Pollard, Happy Mondays Bez, reality TV personality Megan McKenna and TV presenter Mel Sykes in the final stages.
Up to now, Penny Lancaster, Duncan James, Nabil Abdulrashid and Katie Price are among the participants to have been eliminated as we move toward the final stages of the contest.
