Woman in wheelchair robbed in St Anne’s by man in black clothing

A woman in a wheelchair was robbed of cash and personal possessions in a residential area of Bristol.

Police have launched a witness appeal following the robbery in St Anne’s, a neighbourhood popular with young families.

The victim of the daylight ordeal was a woman in a wheelchair, whose handbag was “grabbed” by a man wearing dark clothing.

It happened at about 9.50am last Thursday (November 25), along Robertson Drive, and he fled the scene on foot.

Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: “The victim was approached by an unknown man dressed in black clothing who grabbed her handbag containing cash and personal items.

“He ran off in the direction of Wyatts View.

“If you saw what happened or have any information that could help police, please call 101 quoting reference 5221277376.”
