Woman leaves ‘minging’ Pontins holiday park after just FOUR hours in flood of tears

The woman – who wished to remain anonymous – branded the Brean Sands Holiday Park in Burnham-On-Sea, Devon, “absolutely filthy” after her extremely brief stay. And she shared horrifying snaps of the trip her mother had kindly booked to stay for her birthday as a family treat.

But her four-night stay at the park’s luxury Club Apartments with her partner and 14-month-old baby was cut short.

When she arrived she claims she discovered “pubic hairs” and “dead flies” in the bathroom which also had a mirror “covered in toothpaste”.

The woman, from Exeter, claimed there was blood on the apartment’s door, the fridge stank “like gone off milk” and they were “expected to sleep on a rock solid leather sofa bed”.

“The apartment was minging, I wouldn’t even change my child’s dirty nappy in there,” she told Devon Live.

“When we got on the site, we were then told we have to pay an extra £20 to go and collect it ourselves. Again, really?

“That was already pushing outside of our budget.

“That extra money we spent on the cot could have been an evening’s worth of food or something like that.”

The woman had been looking forward to the trip – and was excited to stay in the park’s luxury apartments which Pontins say provide guests with a “host of additional benefits like free electricity” as well as the “extra luxury of early check-in from 2pm”.

The family have since tried to claim a full refund, but said they were told they need to call Pontins head office, which costs money.

She said: “My mum is dealing with the refund as it was all under her name and everything.

“In the end we managed to find a nice holiday park called Ladram Bay in Exmouth so we went there and it was just amazing.”

Express.co.uk has approached Pontins for comment.
